Have had Aloha at this location twice and both times have been pretty solid. The food for the price is definitely solid, as a meal is able to three meals for me. The meat is definitely tasty and relatively tender. Chicken honestly pretty bomb, but occasionally have found really fatty pieces, and the beef is tasty, but can be crumbly sometimes.

I'm really surprised that we haven't left a review for Aloha yet! We've been coming here for over 15 years and honestly, this place doesn't miss! You have to be realistic of the expectations here... This is not the most amazing Hawaiian food in OC but it is always consistent and the portions are large enough to feed a small army... It's a small location, mainly for take out and the service is simple: order your food, pump your teriyaki and katsu sauce then wait for your number to be called. We always get the Chicken Combo which comes with teriyaki chicken & katsu chicken on a bed of cabbage, mac salad and rice. Pro tip, you can request no cabbage and add more mac salad or rice. This single meal is enough food to feed a hungry family of four! Definitely check it out for a quick and easy meal!

Overall, Aloha Hawaiian BBQ is a great value for good quality island inspired food. My favorite dish is the chicken combo. The portions are very generous--even the "mini" meal comes with plenty of protein. I love the BBQ chicken and chicken katsu. Both of these entrees have great flavor. The katsu is crispy and delicious. The entrees state they come with vegetables--but most of it is thick pieces of cabbage, which I'll be honest doesn't look super appetizing compared to the rest of the meal. I love Mac salad--there's might be a little bit too on the mayo side, but that might just be my preference. Every time I go in there the service is friendly and overall quick--the staff are friendly and efficient. I usually take my food to go or order via delivery apps, but the restaurant is always clean and well organized. Overall, will def come back here when I am fixing for a Hawaiian BBQ fix!

tl,dr: So much good food! Pay less for more! Likes: + Fastest service I've ever seen in my life... Everytime after I order, the food comes out in 1-2 min. I can't believe it. Fastest turnaround ever. + Great cost-efficient food shop where just one $18 order can last you 2-3 meals. + Deeelectable mix of meats with rice and especially the macaroni salad. + And the meat consistently comes out top-notch in my book. + Nice self-serve add-ons: teriyaki sauce & buffalo sauce. I like how very smooth the plunger is for pressing out these sauces. + Within the past year, they added the self-service kiosk. Super helpful during long lines. And through the kiosk you can include modifications such as more macaroni, less rice. You may just wanna check your order once you receive it before you leave to make sure your requested modifications were implemented. + Over the past few years here I have consistently ordered the BBQ mix numerous times. When I eat the second half of my meal the next day, I first microwave the leftovers. I've never gotten a stomachache from this method. That's an A in cleanliness in my book. Non-likes: - Crowded, tight parking. - Kinda salty cuz of all that meat and sauces. I highly recommend exercising to sweat it out. (Other reviews complaining about the taste may be talking about the Seafood Mix, which I think Aloha doesn't do a great job on the mahi-mahi.) Tip: Get the Hawaiian BBQ mix. Best bang for your buck.

We've ordered catering from here on more than a few occasions. Order was always on time and food is absolutely delicious! Go to is definitely the chicken katsu and bbq beef. Not too many seats and tables but a decent amount.

I'm on a Hawaiian BBQ kick and stumbled upon Aloha Hawaiian. I ordered the half Katsu half BBQ chicken. This comes with rice and macaroni salad. The portions here are huge. Light eaters could easily share a plate. The chicken was very favorable. I shared it with a few of my cat friends. They would give five stars, but they're not on Yelp. The rice and macaroni salad was good, but I mainly just eat the meat. This is a place that I'd return to.

Great place to come if you have a huge appetite for Hawaiian food! Aloha BBQ is located in a large plaza near the target. The restaurant itself is small with few table seatings. They have various plate/bowl options with unlimited sauce on the side for to go. I got the Hawaiian BBQ mixed plate with grilled chicken, beef, short rib. All plates come with 2 scoops of rice, cabbage, and macaroni salad. My plate came in a few minutes. The chicken was well seasoned and was tender, the beef and short rib was not the best quality but both well cooked and had no after taste. The macaroni salad was a little too rich for me. For $17, the plate is huge and would probably last 3-4 meals for me. Overall solid restaurant with filling dishes, would love to try the seafood my next visit!
